Paralyzed by debt:

The American Dream

I have worked consistently since I was 16, all the way through college into my professional life. I don’t make giant purchases and I’m cheap. I am still, however, $50,000 dollars in debt from school loans and I know I am not alone.

Debt is a monster.

Despite most Americans being in massive quantities of debt, we remain a manufacturing and technology giant on the world platform. This is, in part, due to the fact that most of us are completely bound to our high stress jobs because we need the insurance and we’re sinking in debt. No wonder 50 hour work weeks are considered normal. It’s not difficult to understand why everyone is desperately searching for a job today. We are all drowning in debt and our best effort is barely keeping us afloat.

Defeating the monster.

We are not the only country on this planet that deals with issues of debt. We are, however, not helping our students out in the least when we fork out thousands of dollars with outrageous interest rates attached to them for school. Many other nations have free higher education, which is a simple extension of our already free “lower” education system. With the services of debt-free live, the selection of the right loan granting company should be done. Besides application, View customer complaints of Plain Green Loans to know exact information about the education loan for the students.

You can always quit, you know.

Most bosses today have all the leverage in the world over their employees because they know that they need their job. In this economic climate, we can’t just walk away from a steady employment and expect that there will be another one waiting for us. We need to strategically put ourselves in the right place at the right time with the right credentials to have the possibility of employment that will cover both our monetary and insurance needs. Management knows this which gives them the ability to bend you into all sorts of awkward ways and force you to do more than you are capable of because they have a good chance of finding someone even more desperate for the job that you’re doing. It’s not easy being in a rough economy were the competition is stiff and people are becoming more and more ruthless and the days and months go by.

There is a very small light at the end of the tunnel.

For those of us that have lived in various stages of debt our whole lives, we can smile at the fact that our willingness to push ourselves through the muck and the rain to protect ourselves and our families is honorable. We push to make people’s days better and we are rewarded with a clean conscience at night, for the few hours we’re allotted.

The light at the end of the tunnel…

So as you push beyond what you thought was possible and find yourself edging closer toward zero debt you will feel even greater than some millionaires. You know that you are going to have to work harder than you ever have, for longer than you ever have, to achieve this. Growing up in a rich family leaves you feeling like you have to maintain the wealth, or you will be looked down upon. For those of us who don’t come from rich families, paying off a home is an epic quest worthy of a very large pat on the back when all is said and done. I hope you have what it takes to pull yourself out of this insane debt cycle. Remember, you have to stay strong far after your body has given up. You can do this. I’ll see you on the other side.
